VIP Kennels
was established in 1972 on an
11 acre property
at Leppington NSW.
The infrastructure consists of a large kennel block which incorporates about 25 internal kennels. These are divided into 14 racing kennels plus 11 for stud dogs and 4 whelping kennels.
In addition there is an office, a feed room and a treatment room.
At the northern end there is a cool room with ancillary equipment including a mincer, a bandsaw and various cooking pots using L.P. Gas.
There is a large house for the manager, a flat and a caravan for staff members. Normally, there are 5 or 6 staff plus various outside contractors.
There are various yards with brick kennels. The main runs for dogs approaching break in stage are 75 metres long, with shorter runs and kennels provided for dogs up to 4 months old at which time they are relocated in 75 meter runs.
At the rear of the property there is a large stable block. This is presently used as a holding area for some 25 brood bitches and some horses on agistment.
